Plans Down the (Rain) Gutter

After working the weekend, I get Monday off.  I had planned to go to the lumberyard today for the wood for the blanket chest.  However, a system of rain showers put an end to my plans.

I guess that means it’s a good day to wash clothes, sharpen tools, and do general maintenance.  None of these are fun things, but necessary for the smooth functioning of shop and household.  However, it’s an ill wind that blows no good, and rainy days make for good foliage shots.  I thought you might enjoy a couple.

I suppose I should also sit down and finish the article explaining my calculations for the amount of lumber required for the blanket chest.  It’s one thing to make them, but quite another to explain them to someone else.  Look for it in the near future.  Stay tuned!
